Our Thesis

Built for the consumer who emerged from the last five years.

One operating philosophy, applied across seven sectors. Patient capital, hands-on partnership, and the kind of operating depth that only comes from having sat in the seat.

The Shift

Consumption changed. Our portfolio is built for what came next.

The pandemic ended a long stretch of predictable consumer behavior. People moved. They spent differently. They cared about what they put in their bodies, where they ate, where they lived, and how those businesses treated them.

That shift runs through every sector we operate in. Life sciences moved from reactive treatment toward proactive health — the thesis behind Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center, where diagnostics inform protocols and patients pay for outcomes, not visits. Restaurants had to earn repeat visits from audiences that learned to cook at home — the operating bar behind our franchisee positions in Layne’s and The Halal Guys. Real estate got honest about which properties produce cash and which don’t — the discipline behind The Lal Group’s 250-property book across Northeast Ohio.

We invest in the companies built for the consumer that emerged from that reset — not the one that existed before it.

The Four Pillars

How we think about every business we invest in.

01

Consumption-led conviction

Every sector we operate in changed in the last five years — what people eat, where they live, how they spend on health, how they travel. We invest behind the businesses built for the consumer who came out the other side, not the one who existed before.

02

Patient capital

We hold for as long as the thesis compounds. No fund timeline, no forced exits, no capital that needs to move on a schedule. Patience is part of the partnership we offer the businesses we back.

03

Operating depth

Our principals come from operating chairs — the lab, the property book, the multi-unit franchise, the hospital build. That experience is what we bring into every partnership: a working understanding of how decisions actually move a business, week to week.

Aligned partnership

We work with founders, family offices, and operators whose posture matches ours — long-term holders, hands-on builders, partners who value operating perspective alongside capital. The right alignment is what makes the rest of the work possible.

How we partner

In the Principal’s Words

The firm’s operating posture, in the words of one of the principals operating it.

“The structural advantage of running a family office instead of a fund is not the holding period. It is the freedom to make the obvious operating call — the one that pencils out over five years rather than five quarters — without translating the call into the language of a fund cycle. We acquire businesses to operate them, and we operate them with no clock on the wall.”
